MEASURING LANGUAGE ANXIETY OF EFL STUDENTS IN PUBLIC SPEAKING

Research on speaking anxiety has often been the focus of research in language learning to date. This topic is important provide information about level they experience when English and what extent it impacts quality students' speaking. Therefore, implementing for developing strategies according habits challenges experience. study examines levels, especially during public Data was collected using Public Speaking Class Anxiety Scale (PSCAS) questionnaire then analyzed separately based anxiety, communication apprehension, comfort English, fear negative evaluation. The results showed that 50% students were at medium level, 35% high 15% low level. arises from internal factors such as a tense stiff body, heart beating faster, inability control body movements. External being laughed getting response also cause anxiety. found main causes are lack grammar knowledge, vocabulary mastery, failure construct good sentences
